Bishop announces new appointments

LAKELAND — Bishop Timothy W. Whitaker announced Aug. 31 the appointment of 12 pastors to churches in the Florida Conference. All appointments were effective immediately.

The Rev. Jerry F. Milner Jr. was appointed associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville.

The Rev. Robert M. Wooten Sr. was appointed to the Tampa District’s Keystone United Methodist Church, Odessa.

The Rev. Fred R. Gardner was appointed pastor of the Melbourne District’s First United Methodist Church, Okeechobee.

The Rev. David D. Spaulding was appointed pastor of the Jacksonville District’s Murray Hill United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Donald B. Corbit was appointed to the Leesburg District’s Belleview United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Mary Ellen Lanoue was appointed to the Ft. Myers District’s Christ United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda.

Benton Mangueira was appointed supply pastor of the Ft. Myers District’s Friendship United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda.

Paul V. Vernon was appointed supply pastor of the Ft. Myers District’s Edgewood United Methodist Church.

Michael Chester was appointed supply pastor of the Ft. Myers District’s Trinity United Methodist Church.

Craig Campbell was appointed supply pastor of the Jacksonville District’s Bowden United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Gerald Williams was appointed retired supply pastor of the Tallahassee District’s Grace United Methodist Church, Perry.

The Rev. Louis E. Patmore, a retired United Methodist pastor, was appointed to the Eastpoint charge in the Tallahassee District.
