Bishop
announces mid-year appointments
LAKELAND — Bishop Timothy W. Whitaker
announced the following appointments effective Jan. 1:
the Rev. David McGaffic, pastor of Orange City United Methodist Church
in the DeLand District, was appointed pastor of First United Methodist
Church, Cocoa;
the Rev. Tom Langford, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Cocoa,
was appointed pastor of Orange City United Methodist Church;
the Rev. Williston Brewer, pastor of First United Methodist Church,
Alva, was appointed pastor of Lake Panasoffkee United Methodist Church
in the Leesburg District;
the Rev. Mary Ellen Lanoue, pastor of Christ Community United
Methodist Church in Punta Gorda, was appointed pastor of First United
Methodist Church, Alva;
the Rev. Louis Pomrenke was appointed interim pastor at Christ
Community United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda;
the Rev. Paul Hartsfield was appointed interim pastor at East Naples
United Methodist Church;
the Rev. Delbert J. King began incapacity leave;
the Rev. Bruce Antle took Honorable Location status;
Tena Crenshaw, lay supply pastor of Center Hill United Methodist
Church in the Leesburg District, resigned due to health reasons; and
an appointment will be announced in the near future for Center Hill.
