Counselor considered for Counseling Network

Neville E. Buchanan, D.Min., LCSW of Miami is being considered for inclusion in the Florida Conference Counseling Network. Anyone with concerns regarding his skills or character making such action inappropriate should write to the Rev. Leslie M. Avchin, Chair, 2900 John Anderson Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32176, or Mrs. Jean J. Vanderslice, Network Coordinator, 6527 Forestwood Drive, W., Lakeland, FL 33811, within 30 days of the publication of this notice.

All counselors are licensed by the state of Florida with the exception of pastoral counselors. The Conference Counseling Network Committee endeavors to find the most highly qualified people for inclusion.


UMM elect new officers

INVERNESS — The Florida Conference’s United Methodist Men (UMM) elected new officers April 1. UMM officers are elected to a two-year term and may serve a maximum of six years.

The new UMM officers are John Dowell, president; Bob Wright, first vice president; Jack Cowart, second vice president; Stan Monroe, secretary; and Terry Ketrow, treasurer.
