The Best Is Yet to Come

By Bishop Cornelius L. Henderson

Bishop Cornelius L. Henderson "Hats off" to Dr. and Mrs. Kevin (Linda) James and their design/planning team for their superb leadership at the recent Florida Conference Cabinet retreat in the St. Petersburg District. In keeping with the previous four events, it was first-class, unique and special. I, after this experience, can state without contradiction that the best is yet to come!

Time was reserved for some rather limited rest, fun, relaxation and brief tours, and very importantly, we shared some exciting challenges and possibilities for the future. Some of these will be shared with our readership in the next edition of the Florida United Methodist Review.

We will repeat this process of quality time apart during this current quadrennium. We will seek to listen again to pastors and laity as to where our Florida Conference is and where we are called to go, as we are obedient to the great commission to go and make disciples!
