Board begins search for lay leader

LAKELAND — A new Florida Annual Conference lay leader will be elected at the Dare to Share Jesus 2000 Florida Annual Conference Event May 30-June 2 in Lakeland. The Board of Lay ministry is now accepting names of those who want to be considered for that office.

As directed by the conference’s standing rules, nominees should send a letter and/or resume to a member of the search committee. Names submitted will be presented to the Board of Lay Ministry, which will select one and present it to the annual conference as its choice for lay leader.

The nomination committee also needs nominees for several Board of Lay Ministry offices, including secretary, treasurer, older adult representative, woman representative of the conference ministry teams, and man and youth representatives from the annual conference. Anyone interested in these offices should submit a letter and/or resume to the nomination committee.
