Tampa
Centers raise money with walk
Tampa United Methodist Centers (TUMC) will hold
its 22nd Annual Wonder Walk April 20, 8 a.m., at the Lowery Park Zoo.
The Wonder Walk is a fund-raising event for the Centers’ Rosa Valdez
and Cuscaden Centers, which work with developmentally-delayed
children; the Youth VIBE program, which provides assistance to
college-bound urban youth; and the New Place, a multi-cultural oasis
for young people interested in art.
TUMC has worked against racism, poverty and
neglect in Florida communities since 1892. The Centers provide
education, services for children, support for multicultural arts,
housing management, and nutrition awareness programs.
