Wallis M. Hurley
The Rev. Wallis M. Hurley, a retired local pastor, died Jan. 15.
Wallis served as pastor of churches in Steinhatchee, Wakulla,
Woodville, Kathleen, Auburndale and Greensboro. He retired in 1984.
Rev. William H. Butler Sr.
The Rev. William H. Butler Sr., a retired associate member of the
Florida Conference, died Feb. 1. Butler served the Methodist Church
for 14 prior to his retirement in 1990. He served as pastor of
churches in Ocala, Miami, Reddick and Ft. Pierce.
Rev. Raymond W. Boegan
The Rev. Raymond W. Boegan, a retired elder, died Feb. 11. Boegan
served the Methodist Church for 20 years prior to his retirement in
1987. He served as pastor of churches in Miami, Opa Locka and North
Lauderdale.
Dr. Robert Mann
Dr. Robert Mann died Feb. 26. Mann was a former Florida Conference
chancellor and a long-time member of the Florida United Methodist
Foundationís board of directors.
Rev. Wesley S. Price
The Rev. Wesley S. Price, a retired elder, died March 2. Price served
the Methodist Church for 15 years prior to his retirement in 1977. He
was ordained in the Alabama-West Florida Conference and transferred to
the Florida Conference in 1966. He served as pastor of churches in
Webster, Bronson, Quincy and Gibsonton.
Rev. Robert F. Hays
The Rev. Robert F. Hays, a retired elder, died March 7. Hays served
the Methodist Church for 37 prior to his retirement in 1992. He served
as pastor of churches in Daytona Beach, Crescent City, Ocala,
Sarasota, Port Charlotte, Hollywood and New Port Richey.
Rev. Pat W. McBride Jr.
The Rev. Pat W. McBride Jr., a retired elder, died March 19. McBride
served the Methodist Church for 40 years prior to his retirement in
1992. He served as pastor of churches in Tampa, Crescent City,
Monticello, Clearwater, Vero Beach, Cape Coral, Jacksonville and
Brooksville. He was also the superintendent of the Miami District from
1975 until 1980.
