New Spanish language worship resourceFiesta Cristiana:
Recursos para la AdoraciÛn (Resources for Worship) is a new Spanish
language book of worship written and compiled by Bishop Joel Martinez
and Raquel Martinez. Released in November, the 320-page book is
designed for planning worship throughout the seasons of the Christian
year.
It is modeled on the United Methodist Book of Worship that serves
as a companion to the United Methodist Hymnal. It also supports and
amplifies the worship resources of Mil Voces Para Celebrar, the
official United Methodist Spanish language hymnal, and features the
Revised Common Lectionary (Leccionario Com·n Revisado), the first
North American worship resource offered in Spanish.
Fiesta Cristiana has worship resources for special Sundays and
other special days and contains a number of prayers and liturgies in
both Spanish and English in order to meet the need of congregations
for bilingual resources.
The suggested retail price is $15 per copy and is $12 if purchased
through Cokesbury online.

Free resource for clergy
Designed for pastoral prayer, the Prayer Resource offers assistance
for the busy weekly worship leader. It focuses on being sensitive to
the personal and spiritual needs of the congregation and being
adaptable in order to relate local settings and needs to the theme of
service.
The Rev. Dr. Curtis R. Bonner, who earned a doctorate from Florida
State University and completed a theological seminary degree program
at Asbury Theological Seminary, created the Prayer Resource. He served
as a pastor in the Florida Conference for five years, and is now a
member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Pensacola.
The service is free, but donations are accepted.
